Our Mountain Refuge Retreats run throughout September and October as the forests turn from summer green to autumnal colours. We stay in the Refuge Vieux Crest at 2000 metres and from there we spend time learning and, in the outdoors, hiking, walking and connecting with Nature. The learnings are down-to-earth and practical so that those participating will acquire a set of take-home skills to apply in their daily lives and deepen into for themselves.
Each Retreat has a focus; Yoga, Tai Chi, Singing, Mindfulness and Spiritual practices through which we thread meditation, reflection and sharing with others. Hiking and walking excursion are led each day, usually in the afternoons where we choose routes according to your capabilities. Through these activities we create space in our bodies and minds whilst also benefiting from the space outside in the mountains. On the Retreats we keep things light hearted whilst some healthy introspection enables us to look within and build our energies and insight.
The Yoga Mountain Refuge fuses many styles of yoga into a dynamic form and also includes more gentle yin style sessions and mantras.
The Tai Chi Mountain Refuge includes structured and informal teaching in Tai Chi and Chi Kung with guidance in meditation and an introduction to Chinese Tea culture.
The Mindful Heroes Mountain Refuge is a journey into exploring the meaning of mindfulness through realisations of past experiences and present aspirations.
The Mindfulness in Nature Mountain Refuge takes us from the cushion into the mountains grounding ourselves and aligning with the natural elements.
