This seven full days of yoga and teachings is designed for the enthusiastic yogi who has experience of some form of yoga and those who appreciate the mountain life, nature and outdoor activity. The week has two parts; Monday to Thursday there is Yoga Intensive teaching with experienced local yoga teacher Corinne Favre.
Then, Friday to Sunday there is the Yoga Mountain Festival, now in its fourth year, which attracts an international group of keen yogis. During the three days of the Festival there are indoor and outdoor yoga workshops, Tantric yoga, Yoga and Pranayama, yoga and climbing, Chi Gong and talks on yoga in well-being.
In between the yoga sessions there are guided mountain walks, biking, swimming and a spa centre available. Hiking experience is not necessary, the walks are optional and graded to suit everyone’s levels of fitness and aspiration.
Monterosa Mountain Yoga week is taking place in the mountain village of Champoluc in the Valley D’Ayas, in the north west Italian Alps, near Aosta and the border with Switzerland. You will be staying in the 3-star Hotel Castor, a traditional family run Hotel, which showcases local products, wine and hospitality.
