Vin Harris studied and practiced meditation under the guidance of many great Tibetan teachers since he became a Buddhist in 1974. He has always aspired to follow their example in putting spiritual values into practical action as an entrepreneur and through his humanitarian activities.
Vin’s first degree was in English and European Literature, he also holds a Master’s degree in Business and is an Honorary Teaching Fellow for Mindfulness Studies at the University of Aberdeen. He teaches mindfulness in the UK and Europe where participants appreciate his ability to communicate the subtle meaning and purpose of meditation practice in everyday language. Vin has developed and delivered programmes such as Enlightened Enterprise, Mindfulness for Life and The Journey of Mindful Heroes; all with the common theme that mindfulness is not just about coping with problems but is also a way of discovering our human potential.
“I have noticed that when people are given the opportunity to engage with mindfulness practice, they discover some freedom in their own minds. They are then naturally inclined to share the happiness they have found with others; in this way we can change the world from the inside out.”
