Tim has been teaching Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Meditation in the UK for almost twenty-five years. Based in London, he runs a private studio offering regular weekly classes to small groups, together with one-to-one tuition. He also leads Study Weekends and urban mini-retreat days throughout the year.
‘…Since 1994,’ as he says, ‘I’ve taught continuously… virtually every week in every year…’
He is also an experienced organiser and has led Retreat Weeks both in the UK and Italy in recent years, drawing participants from a wide range of countries and backgrounds.
Tim began his own Tai Chi training in the early 1980s, taught by New Zealander Murray Douglas in classes run by Kensington and Chelsea College, west London. He later went on to teach these same classes himself, for seven years, before setting up his own studio. Throughout this time, he was also studying in the lineage of Master Chu King Hung, a fifth-generation teacher of the Hong Kong based Yang family, together with other noted visiting teachers to the UK. Altogether his training extends to more than twenty years of immersive commitment.
